Agreement Summary
Flow is a personal finance organization utility. Flow is not a bank, accountant, tax advisor, investment advisor, or legal advisor. All records remain local-only on your device.
1. About Flow
Flow is a local-first Android personal finance app developed and published by APEX Studio, an independent open-source software brand founded by Subhodeep Rajak.
Flow helps users record expenses, plan budgets, review spending insights, and create local backups.
Flow does not require an account, does not provide cloud sync, and does not upload your personal finance records to an APEX Studio server.
2. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms & Conditions explain the rules for using Flow, the official Flow website, and related app distribution or support resources provided by APEX Studio.
By using Flow or accessing the official Flow website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app or website.
3. Use of the App
You may use Flow for personal finance organization and record keeping. You are responsible for entering accurate information, reviewing your own budgets, keeping your physical device secure, and using the app in compliance with applicable laws.
You must not misuse Flow, attempt to disrupt the app or website, reverse engineer distribution builds for malicious purposes, or interfere with official download links or support resources.
4. No Financial, Legal, or Tax Advice
Flow is a personal finance tracking utility only. It does not provide financial, investment, legal, tax, accounting, or banking services. Any charts, insights, or records shown in Flow are for your personal reference and organization. You are solely responsible for your own financial decisions.
5. Local Data and Backups
Flow stores app data locally on your device. APEX Studio does not keep a server copy of your expenses, budgets, categories, profile details, or backup files. APEX Studio cannot recover deleted local data or lost backup files.
When you export a backup, Flow creates a user-controlled backup file in the Downloads/Flow Backup/ folder on your device. You are responsible for keeping exported backup files secure and deciding where they are saved or shared.
6. Privacy
Your use of Flow is also governed by the Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy explains how Flow handles local app data, permissions, backups, data retention, deletion, and Google Play Data Safety disclosures. Make sure to review the Privacy Policy.
7. App Updates, Official Releases, and External Platforms
APEX Studio may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of Flow or the website at any time. Features may change between versions, and website illustrations may not always match every installed version of the app.
Flow is officially published on Google Play as the recommended installation method. Optional APK releases remain available on the official GitHub repository for advanced users. Use through Google Play or external platforms (GitHub, email services) is governed by their respective terms and policies.
8. Open-Source License and Intellectual Property
Flow source code may be made available in the official repository under the Apache License 2.0. Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit rights granted to you under the Apache License 2.0 for the Flow source code.
APEX Studio retains ownership of the Flow brand, website design, text, logos, visual assets, app identity, and related project materials. You must not falsely claim ownership of Flow, impersonate APEX Studio, or use Flow branding in a confusing manner.
9. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
Flow and the official website are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, APEX Studio disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, APEX Studio will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Flow or the website. This includes, but is not limited to: loss of data, loss of backup files, incorrect records entered, financial decisions made based on app insights, or device issues.
10. Changes to These Terms and Contact
APEX Studio may update these Terms & Conditions when Flow changes or when legal or platform requirements change. The updated version will be posted on the official Flow website.
